PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide overall direction for the seminary admissions process
  • Plan, organize, and implement procedures to enhance admissions, enrollment verification, and communication with applicants
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of applicant files
  • Coordinate campus visits for prospective students and their families
  • Organize and participate in recruiting events for seminary programs
  • Collect, analyze, and present data relevant to the admissions process to the dean and seminary faculty
  • Produce status reports, manage office procedures, and manage the budget
  • Supervise work-study students and graduate assistants
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree in the field of theology is preferred
  • Ability to articulate a commitment to the mission of the seminary
  • Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Previous experience working in admissions is preferred
  • Ability to work with a variety of students, faculty, alumni and community professionals
  • Proven ability in developing and executing projects
  • Ability to articulate broad knowledge of the seminary's degree and certificate programs
  • Prior event planning experience is preferred
  • Flexibility with schedule as need arises (ex. evening or weekend commitments and travel)
