This course fulfills the Biblical Capstone (or Biblical Theology) requirement. It will explore Old Testament and New Testament passages that discuss the nature of death and life after death. A well defined exegetical method will be used. When possible, students will work with the ancient languages. A seminar format will be used, and students will be active participants in the interpretation of texts and in the presentation of their findings. Class discussion will focus on the nature of the interpretive process, the formulation of biblical theology, and the application of these ideas to the modern church.
